10 Best Affirmations For Moms
Have you ever woken up in the morning and just had a feeling that it might be a melancholy day? Or you’re trying to stay positive, but still have this nagging feeling that something is just off. I mostly contribute this to being a mother.
Motherhood is HARD. Anyone who tells you differently has obviously never been a parent lol Yes, it’s very cliche saying that being a mom is hard, but also one of the most rewarding things ever. (but it’s so freaking true) Since becoming a mom I have grown mentally, emotionally, and spiritually over the past 3 years. I look at the journey I’ve taken to get where I am today, and I have to give myself a small pat on the back for making it this far…because it has not been an easy ride.
Everyday is a new adventure, and a reminder that we are so blessed to be living this life. I wake up every morning wanting to be positive and manifest all the good for the day. Sometimes though the external factors or negative energy gets past my good vibes shield. When this happens I have to really dig deep and know that there’s a light at the end of the negative tunnel. To keep my head in the game (aka life is the game 😘) I have some affirmations that I tell myself.
The one that resonates with me the most is something I had tattooed on my inner arm as a constant reminder.
DON’T LET THE HARD DAYS WIN
We can’t be happy all the time, and we are going to have our off days. The one thing I always have to remember when I’m feeling down is to keep moving forward. I do a small check-in with myself to make sure that I don’t need anything immediately to help make myself feel better. (water.. Food…a hug…) Then I remind myself that I CAN do this. (Whatever it may be) I remind myself that this is just a hard day for me, and I can make an improvement or change for tomorrow.
Positive affirmations have the incredible ability to shape how we think, feel, and behave. When practiced daily (yes, practiced – means we have to put the work in for it, and not just ‘use’ the words – but ‘feel’ the words being spoken) we have the ability to reshape our lives. It goes hand in hand with ‘change your mindset, change your life.’ Once we start reshaping our minds then we need to put action to it. So speaking these words out loud or even in your mind, paired with actionable steps, can help us make a positive change in our lives.
